Using a flexible cystoscope for the treatment of bladder tumours with laser or diathermy and the treatment of bladder stones with a laser are not without their difficulties. Even where scopes have the facility of suction incorporated, some challenges are still presented. These may include; poor vision, reduced irrigation, having to stop flow to allow suction, potential of damage to the scope and limitations of size of tumours or stones that can be treated. Larger tumours or stones call for longer treatments, meaning longer operating times, anaesthetic times and generally more discomfort for patients.

Poly-Port addresses these issues and makes laser treatment of bladder stones with a flexible scope faster, easier and potentially without the need for a general anaesthetic. Poly-Port is a single use sleeve to be placed over a standard cystoscope which provides the following benefits:
