- Inner sheath provides a sterile barrier between patient and cystoscope. The material has been validated as impermeable to particles of nanometer size. - Outer sheath provides a large working channel allowing for irrigation and the use of instruments. The sheath material is made from a specially formulated low surface-friction PU for ease of fitting and removal. |

Scopeguard® is a unique solution for Urologists that eliminates the need to reprocess flexible cystoscopes after each patient procedure, reducing the need for multiple scopes and local access to reprocessing facilities.
Scopeguard® is a translucent, sterile and universal disposable sheath that fits over all flexible cystoscopes. It incorporates an optically clear lens at the distal end, ensuring pin sharp vision, and a working channel running along the length of the sheath allowing fluids or instruments to be passed along it, maintaining full scope functionality.
When one procedure is finished, the sheath is removed, tested and disposed of, making the user confident that the cystoscope has not become contaminated and has not come into contact with the patient.
The reduced turnaround time, as compared to using an automated endoscope reprocessor, means that you have more flexibility and the potential to perform more cystoscopies instead of waiting for the equipment to be ready.
So, if you want your practice to spend less time reprocessing and more time on patient procedures, use Scopeguard®.
Scopeguard® also offer a range of drapes to cover the handle of the cystoscope. This allows the user to contain the entire instrument within a sterile field. Read more...
As part of the scope turnaround procedure, the Scopeguard® Cystoscope Sheath can be tested with Scopeguard's Sheath Pressure Tester to confirm its integrity. Read more...
